What’s God going to
get out of punishing us anyway? God is not there to punish us.. When God tells us about hell, would you rather hear, get scared and get your act together or
you rather be in it? It’s an act of Mercy from Allah, that He telling us about
it before we see it..
In some way it’s like parent to their child, if they punishing their child, that doesn’t mean that they want to punish them but it’s because they want keep them on the right track and it’s a form of love and care a parent to their child. The bad thing is sometimes a love between human can be abusive. Often we see a parent giving all their child wants regardless the child actually need it or not. Sometime their reason is because it’s because they love them. Different to form of love and mercy from God to human being, because Allah know exactly want we need, so definitely Allah will gives us want we need instead of just what we want. The second thing is the love of Allah to us is so big that we can say God’s love and mercy to human being it’s extremely and unimaginably great. Even in the first surah in the Quran, Allah tell us that He is Most Gracious and Most Merciful

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious,
Most Merciful. (1:1)

When Prophet Muhammad
(peace be upon him) explains about paradise and hell to the companions, the companions were
able to understand it and picture it as if paradise and hell are so close to them. So, at that
time rasulullah (prophet) can boost their motivation to be a better person and to stay
patience (Sabr) in obeying Allah.
As to those who believe and work righteous deeds,
they have, for their entertainment, the Gardens of Paradise, (18:107)

Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein
(for ever). (23:11

Basically now we have
to do that same thing, over and over again to make us stay sabr until the time
we enter paradise. What I mean is we have to make every opportunity that is
possible to remember hell and paradise. For example, if in this world we have a
dream house, then we must believe that our dream house in paradise will be far
more amazing, stunning and for eternal. If we have plan to have a vacation in
super beautiful, relax and natural place and not to mention super expensive
then we must believe that Allah will give us in the next life even a far more better
place, and it’s totally free and we will never get bored. The question is, are we worthy enough to enter
it?
