Who is Nouman Ali Khan? Probably you never heard about him or maybe you have. Nonetheless, I just wanna to tell you that he had been a big part of my life until now. Especially through his many lectures over the internet. The power of his lectures is easy to understand for a common person like myself. He was able to see the need of larger audiences to understand difficult subject in Islam, mainly I think because the majority of the book and reference are still in Arabic language. I mean, he is one of the Islamic speakers who can bridges the gap between scholar and ordinary people so that many people can understand the complicated issues in Islam without oversimplifying it.
He is a Muslim speaker and the CEO and founder of Bayyinah, an Islamic educational institution in the United States. His early education in Arabic started in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and continued in Pakistan. His serious Arabic training began in 1999 in the United States. He has been teaching Modern Standard and Classical Arabic at various venues for several years with over 10,000 students nationwide. Nouman Ali Khan teaches about the religion of Islam through his video speeches. He also frequently speaks at Islamic Circle of North America Conventions about Islam, family, and other life topics.
I think one of the his main goal is for the vast majority Muslim to understand the ‘Arabic Quran’ better and in the same time we will be able to feel the miracles of the Quran. Eventually it will make the people convince that the Quran is from God, and not created by human.
Although he comes from Muslim family, he was someway had become an atheist in one point, so that former perspective/belief in atheist somehow has a good impact on him which is a skeptical and critical way of thinking. So, if you have the time I sincerely recommend his lectures on Youtube, iTunes podcast, etc. I guarantee it will not be a waste of time for you.
Here is a video that shows his struggle from atheist to "back to Islam" mindset. I hope it will be usefull to you. Enjoy..!!
